Depicting the major issues of the Battle of Verdun, the exhibition creates an association between the modern landscape and the memories of a century ago to enable people of all ages, nationalities and backgrounds to explore the legacy of the greatest Battle of the Great war. Creating a link between the modern day and the personal dramas and stories, the exhibition illustrates the stark contrast between the scorched earth and darkness of the Great War, with the sun shining on the now peaceful landscapes of Europe. Using powerful imagery combined with fascinating historical information presented with augmented reality technologies, this free-to-the-public exhibition will serve as a gateway through which everyone can pass to visit the ‘battlefields’ and immerse themselves in the momentous events of the Great War.
